From High School to College Football: Nebraska Quarterback Daniel Kaelin’s Memorable Mistake and Lessons Learned

Nebraska quarterback reflects on his introduction to college football

Nebraska freshman quarterback Daniel Kaelin recently shared his experience of adapting to college football on ‘The Let It Fly Show’. Host Mike’l Severe asked Kaelin about the transition from high school to college football and any particular moments that stood out to him in the process.

Kaelin recounted a memorable moment during his second practice where he made a mistake on a play during third down drills. Despite feeling pressure in his face, he managed to throw the ball away. To his surprise, wide receiver Tommi Hill intercepted the pass with incredible speed and agility, demonstrating the difference in speed between high school and college football.

As one of Nebraska’s top prospects for the class of 2024, Kaelin brings valuable experience as an Elite 11 quarterback. In his previous season, he threw for 2,225 yards, 17 touchdowns, and only six interceptions, showcasing his talent and potential on the field.

With stiff competition in the quarterback room from freshman Dylan Raiola and last year’s starter Heinrich Haarberg, Kaelin will have to continue improving and striving for success on the field. The competition will undoubtedly push him to grow and develop as a player.

Fans can look forward to seeing Kaelin’s journey in college football unfold as he prepares for the upcoming 2024 season. For more updates on Nebraska football news, follow @CornhuskersWire on X and like their Facebook page for ongoing coverage of the team.
