From High School Athlete to Strongman Champion: Austin Andrade’s Inspiring Journey

San Antonio resident aims for title of world’s strongest man

Austin Andrade, originally from San Antonio, has always been passionate about pushing himself to the limits. His athletic journey began in high school with football and wrestling, where he spent time in both San Antonio and Tucson, Arizona. After a successful high school career, he decided to attend Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado to continue playing football and wrestling.

Returning to San Antonio with his wife, Andrade discovered a new passion for heavy metal fitness. He was welcomed by the owner Tim Ingram and quickly became involved in competitions. Winning multiple shows sparked a renewed drive in Andrade to take his new sport more seriously.

Andrade’s dedication paid off when he won the 2023 World’s Strongest Latino competition in Portugal and placed seventh in the World’s Strongest Man competition. With his sights set on becoming the strongest man in the world, he continues to improve his technique and strength through competitions.

Austin’s story is an inspiration to all aspiring athletes who believe that drive and passion can lead them to achieve their goals. His journey from high school sports to becoming a top competitor in strength sports is a testament to the power of determination and hard work.
