From Filmmaking to Campervans: Brooklyn Campervans Takes Off in the #Vanlife Industry

Brooklyn company designs one-of-a-kind camper vans

Brooklyn Campervans, a start-up business based in the heart of Brooklyn, is quickly gaining traction in the burgeoning camper van industry. Born out of the pandemic that left many individuals craving a break from the monotonous routine of traditional work life, this company offers an exciting alternative to conventional travel methods.

Arthur Wei and Oliver Gallini, co-founders of Brooklyn Campervans, are filmmakers who turned their passion for camper vans into a thriving business. Their journey began when they purchased a used ambulette from Mount Sinai at Coney Island and embarked on a cross-country trip to Mexico. This experience ignited their desire to create their own camper van company.

Currently, Brooklyn Campervans constructs up to four vans at a time in their East Williamsburg garage. The vans are priced starting at $92,000 and are designed to be completely self-sufficient, powered by solar panels and LiFePO4 batteries. They come equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, kitchens, home theaters, and hot water heaters for hot showers.

To showcase their camper vans and connect with the community, Brooklyn Campervans is hosting a #Vanlife block party on Sunday 5/19/2024 at 344A Maujer St., Brooklyn, NY 11206. The event kicks off at 1pm and will feature a happy hour, free raffles, and tours of the camper vans for attendees to enjoy.
