As a journalist, I have had the opportunity to explore and discover new things about Texas. In my opinion, this state is truly amazing, with its breathtaking sunsets, warm summers, friendly people, and delicious food. But what really sets Texas apart is the incredible innovations that have come from this great state.
Recently, I came across a page on the internet that listed some of the greatest inventions that originated in Texas. And let me tell you, there were some surprises in store! For example, did you know that Dell Computers were invented right here in our beloved Lone Star State? Michael Dell, a student at the University of Texas, started his company by selling personal computers from his dorm room. It’s hard to believe that such a well-known brand began right here in Texas!
Another amazing invention from our state is breast implants, which were created in 1962 by two men from Houston named Thomas Cronin and Frank Gerow. This innovation has had a huge impact on the field of medicine and beauty. And let’s not forget about Dr. Pepper, one of America’s favorite sodas! This beverage was invented right here in Waco by a pharmacist named Charles Alderton in 1885. It’s no wonder that so many Texans love it!
