From Closure to Reopening: San Bernardino County’s Food Establishments Address Health Code Violations

Health Inspectors Close San Bernardino County Restaurants, May 29-June 6, Reports San Bernardino Sun

In the week of May 29 to June 6, several food establishments in San Bernardino County were ordered to close due to health code violations. However, some of them were allowed to reopen after taking necessary measures to address the issues.

One such establishment that was shut down was the Red Hill Coffee Shop located at 16757 Foothill Blvd. in Fontana on May 29 due to a cockroach infestation. The shop was later allowed to reopen on May 31 after taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue.

Another closure was at Burger King located at 1550 E. Main St. in Barstow on May 31 for operating without a valid health permit. The restaurant was later able to reopen after obtaining the necessary permits and meeting all health code requirements.

In addition, food sales at a Shell station located at 40873 Sunrise Canyon Road in Yermo were halted on June 4 due to the absence of potable water. The station was able to reopen after installing new plumbing fixtures and ensuring that there was an adequate supply of potable water on site.

Cafe Rio at 16938 S. Highland Drive, Suite 400, Fontana, which had been closed on May 29 due to insufficient hot water, was able to reopen on May 30 after installing new hot water tanks and ensuring that there was an adequate supply of hot water throughout the premises.
