From Chievo to Serie A: Inter Midfielder Jacopo Martini on Loan at Sudtirol

Foggia, a Serie B team, set to finalize loan deal with Inter Milan midfielder

Serie B side Sudtirol is close to finalizing a loan deal for Inter Milan midfielder Jacopo Martini, according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport via FCInterNews. The 19-year-old has been with Inter’s youth setup since 2020 when he joined the Nerazzurri’s Under-18 team from Chievo Verona.

Martini has spent time on loan with SPAL’s Under-19 and Primavera teams, as well as Inter’s Primavera team. During his time with the team under former player Christian Chivu as coach, Martini helped Inter’s Under-19s win the Primavera championship.

Last season, Martini went on loan to Foggia in Serie C, where he gained senior experience playing in the Italian third tier. Now, Sudtirol is set to sign Martini on a season-long loan deal from Foggia, as they see the young midfielder as a valuable addition to their squad in Serie B.

With Inter’s sporting staff back in Milan, they are working on loan deals for young players like Martini. The decision to loan Martini to Sudtirol comes after interest from other Serie B clubs, but the Trentinese team has emerged as the frontrunner to secure his signature. The loan move is seen as a logical step up for Martini as he continues his development in Italian football.
