From Challenger to Jack Draper’s Dominating Performance at Stuttgart Open

British Draper Advances to the Final of the Stuttgart Open

Jack Draper has just reached his third ATP final, a first on grass, after defeating the unseeded American at the Stuttgart Open. The 22-year-old sixth seed displayed a dominant performance with 13 aces and 35 winners in a 6-3 6-3 victory. Having beaten defending champion Frances Tiafoe in the quarter-finals, Draper is now set to face former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini in the upcoming final.

Berrettini secured a quick 6-4 6-0 victory over compatriot Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-final, making it the first time he will meet Draper on the court. Berrettini acknowledges Draper’s excellent serving as a crucial aspect of their upcoming match. With his performance in the tournament, Draper is poised to rise to 32nd in the world rankings and potentially secure a seeded position for Wimbledon. He will also become the British number one, surpassing Cameron Norrie. However, winning the final will be no easy task as Berrettini, a former Wimbledon runner-up, is in good form after suffering from injuries that caused him to drop in the rankings.

Berrettini’s experience on grass, with four of his eight career titles won on the surface, makes him a formidable opponent for Draper. The match promises an exciting clash of styles and skills as both players aim for their first singles title on the elite men’s tour. Good luck to both players as they face off in the final at the Stuttgart Open!
