Annual PAL science fair showcases the STEM talents of NYC students

Fifth through eighth-grade students from all five boroughs showcased their expertise in science, technology, engineering, and math at the annual Police Athletic League science fair held at the PAL center in Longwood. The event took place where the young engineers in training were tasked with creating structures that could withstand various disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and more for at least 20 seconds.

The projects varied from bridges to highways to armories, each showcasing the students’ creativity and problem-solving skills. The competition was fierce as participants vied for the first-place prize of $500 for a STEM project at their center. It was a testament to the hard work and dedication of these young minds, who have a bright future ahead in the fields of science and engineering.
