Theo Epstein Announces Exciting New Advisory Role with Fenway Sports Group and Boston Red Sox

In a recent podcast appearance on 310 to Left, Theo Epstein, Senior Advisor at Fenway Sports Group (FSG), discussed his responsibilities and the varied role he plays across FSG’s diverse portfolio. While his primary focus is on supporting Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow with the Red Sox, Epstein also provides counsel to other FSG entities.

Epstein has worked with Penguins President of Hockey Operations Kyle Dubas, assisted FSG President Mike Gordon in Liverpool regime changes, and utilized his expertise in MLB rule changes to inform thinking about changes in the PGA Tour. Although he harbors aspirations for a more significant leadership role in the future, Epstein is currently content with his current position and is not eager to seek out new opportunities.

According to Epstein, he enjoys his current role as a Senior Advisor at FSG and is patiently waiting for the right opportunity to advance to a more prominent leadership position. He believes that when the time comes, he will know it instinctively. For now, he is grateful for the experiences and knowledge that his current role has provided him with. Overall, Epstein’s diverse skill set and extensive experience make him an invaluable asset to FSG as a Senior Advisor.
