Request a dragon year fertilized egg for birth

Hien, 43, and her husband in Ho Chi Minh City had been trying to conceive for nine years through IVF, but they faced many failed attempts due to Hien’s health issues and depleted ovarian reserve. After multiple failed cycles and miscarriages, they were financially drained. In early February, they sought treatment at the Reproductive Support Center of Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Despite Hien being postmenopausal, they were determined to try for a baby.

With time running out in the year of the Dragon, Hien and her husband decided to use eggs from her 31-year-old sister for IVF. The sister was in good reproductive health and produced quality eggs for the treatment. After embryo transfer and conception in March, they were hopeful for a successful pregnancy.

Infertility is a growing global problem, with many couples turning to assisted reproductive methods like egg donation. In 2021, the US saw a 19% increase in IVF cycles using donated eggs. In Vietnam, the rate is around 2%, with IVF clinics like IVF Tam Anh supporting couples with depleted ovaries and failed treatments. Dr. Ngo Dinh Trieu Vy emphasized the importance of egg donation in helping infertile women become mothers. He recommended thorough screening of egg donors to ensure better success rates in IVF treatments. Couples struggling with infertility should seek early treatment and consider options like egg preservation.

After years of struggles, Hien’s family finally received the joy of pregnancy and a baby in the year of the Dragon. They still have frozen embryos from the donated eggs and plan for more children in the future. Hien expressed her happiness at becoming a mother and appreciated the support that helped make their dream of having a child come true.

The increasing global rates of infertility have led many couples to turn to assisted reproductive methods such as egg donation as an alternative solution to achieve parenthood despite medical limitations or financial constraints.

Hien’s journey highlights how persistence can lead to success even when facing numerous failures or setbacks along the way.
