Fox Sports secures exclusive rights to Daytona 500 and Indy 500, provides unprecedented exposure for IndyCar series.

Fox Sports secures multi-year media rights deal with IndyCar

Fox Sports has secured exclusive rights to broadcast the Daytona 500 and Indy 500 starting in 2025. All races for the upcoming season will be aired on the main Fox channel, providing unprecedented exposure for the IndyCar series. In addition to English-language coverage on the main channel, Fox Deportes will carry Spanish-language coverage of the races. The Indianapolis 500 qualification will also be included in the main channel coverage, making IndyCar the only motorsport series with exclusive broadcast coverage in the US.

The partnership between IndyCar and Fox Sports is expected to provide significant growth opportunities for the series, as well as engaging coverage that will reach millions of fans. Practice and qualifying sessions will be split between FS1 and FS2, while most Indy NXT races will air on FS1. The 2025 schedule for IndyCar remains largely unchanged from the previous year, with minor shifts in the timing of certain races.

This move to Fox Sports signifies a significant change for IndyCar, which had previously enjoyed a successful partnership with NBC. With Fox acquiring exclusive rights to the Daytona 500 and Indy 500, as well as losing some Nascar commitments, including the Coca-Cola 600 to Prime Video, the upcoming season promises to be an interesting one for motorsport fans.
