The First-Round Performance of Caleb Surratt at LIV Golf Nashville

The LIV Golf Nashville tournament is taking place at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee from Friday to Sunday. Among the participants is former Vol Caleb Surratt, who is currently tied for 20th place with a score of -1 after the first round on Friday.

Surratt is representing Legion XIII and is teammates with Jon Rahm (captain), Tyrrell Hatton, and Kieran Vincent. Legion XIII is in fourth place with a score of -8 after the first round, trailing six strokes behind Fireballs GC who are in the lead with a score of -14.

The LIV Golf format includes 12 teams, 48 players, 14 events, and features zero cuts with shotgun starts. Each stroke counts for the individual event, and the winner is the player with the lowest total number of shots after 54 holes. The team event combines scores from the top three players on each team towards the team’s total score.

During the first two days of each event, only the top three players’ scores are considered for the team’s round. On the final day, all four players’ scores are counted. The top eight teams earn points in the team standings. This information was first published on Vols Wire. Photo credit: Manuel Velasquez/Getty Images
