Becker had moved to Illinois to take care of her ailing mother and sister. However, her struggles with mental health intensified as she faced the challenges of caring for her loved ones, coupled with a recent skateboarding accident. Despite gaining recognition from appearing on the fifth season of “The Real World” in Miami in 1996, where she was a 25-year-old comic book industry worker from La Jolla, California, her season was unique as the cast was tasked with starting a business with $50,000 but failed due to conflict and disorganization.
Those who knew Sarah remembered her as a caring individual who always put others’ needs before her own. Her loss is deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her.
