Former Colts QB Andrew Luck Returns to Indianapolis for Cancer Fundraiser: A Heartwarming Reunion and a New Chapter in Giving Back

Andrew Luck makes long-awaited return to Indianapolis after retiring

Andrew Luck returned to Indianapolis for a cancer fundraiser organized by former Colts head coach Chuck Pagano on Friday night. It was his first public appearance in the city since stepping away from the game. Luck, who retired after playing seven professional seasons, was showered with love from fans during his time leading the team to four playoff appearances and an AFC title game.

Luck, who went to Stanford and has moved back to that area to go to graduate school, said he felt a desire to “reintegrate” football into his life as a volunteer coach at Palo Alto High School. He said he “feels like it’s my turn to give back into this game” that gave him so much before the toll of injuries became too much for him to bear. Luck reflected on his time with the Colts and said he could speak for himself and other players in saying that they tried their hardest and hoped they gave folks something to cheer about.
