Fulham faced a tough challenge at the City Ground as they went up against Nottingham Forest, who were fighting for survival in the Premier League. Despite Fulham threatening a comeback in the second half, Forest’s three first-half goals were enough to keep them three points clear of the relegation zone.
The match began with an early strike from Callum Hudson-Odoi after a brilliant pass from Morgan Gibbs-White. Chris Wood then added another goal with a superb strike from distance, continuing his strong goalscoring record. Gibbs-White himself scored the third goal for Forest, leaving Fulham struggling to keep up.
Fulham did manage to pull one goal back early in the second half with a header from Tosin Adarabioyo, but both teams had chances throughout the game. Neco Williams hit the bar for Forest and Matz Sels made a fine save to deny Adarabioyo a second goal for Fulham. The game ended with Fulham in 12th place and Forest in 17th, with both teams looking forward to their next matches.
