Foot Injury Clouds Cowboys’ Training Camp: Will Quarterback Dak Prescott be Able to Lead the Team?

Dak Prescott Reportedly Suffers Foot Sprain, Seen in Walking Boot

As the Cowboys prepare to kick off training camp in Oxnard, California on July 25th, there is more to keep an eye on than just the ongoing contract negotiations for quarterback Dak Prescott. Recently, a photo surfaced on social media showing Prescott wearing a boot on his right foot while in Cabo San Lucas. According to a report by Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Prescott is wearing the boot due to a foot sprain.

Despite fracturing his right ankle in 2020 and missing a game in 2021 with a right calf injury, Prescott had a healthy 2023 season with no reported issues. However, it is unclear when Prescott sustained the latest injury. As such, his health and status will undoubtedly be a focal point when the team hits the field for their first practice. With training camp starting in just over two weeks, it remains to be seen how long Prescott will need to wear the boot and whether it will affect his ability to participate fully in practices.
