Time Out magazine has ranked Portland as the No. 10 best city in the world for food. The recognition is not new for Portland, as the city has been named the best food city in the US on multiple occasions in the past. With its diverse culinary offerings and reputation for quality cuisine at reasonable prices, Portland continues to draw food enthusiasts from around the world.
Through polling thousands of city-dwellers, Time Out compiled a list of the top 20 cities for food. They then consulted food writers in each highly ranked city to provide highlights, such as top restaurants, reasons to visit, and must-eat dishes. One of the standout features of Portland’s food scene, according to the survey, is its pizza. Portland’s pizza offerings were highly rated for both quality and affordability by locals.
