Florida vs. NC State: A Battle for Survival in Elimination Game at College World Series

College World Series Updates and Scores

Monday’s College World Series action will begin with an elimination game in the early afternoon, as Florida and N.C. State battle it out in Omaha. Both teams are fighting to stay in the tournament after losing their first-round games by a single run. With one loss each in the double-elimination bracket, the Gators and Wolfpack will need to avoid any further losses in their next four games to reach the CWS finals.

Florida and NC State have a limited history of matchups, meeting only seven times in their programs’ histories, with six of those coming in postseason tournaments. The Gators hold a 5-2 lead in head-to-head matchups, including a close 9-8 victory in extra innings during a super regional game in June 2012.

The upcoming elimination game at the College World Series will take place at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, with tickets ranging from $10-100 before fees on Ticketmaster. The game between Florida and NC State will be broadcast on ESPN at 2 p.m. ET, with streaming options available on ESPN+, YouTube TV, and fuboTV.
