Florida State University’s baseball team made history with a thrilling 24-4 victory over UConn in the opening game of the Super Regional, securing their spot in Omaha for the College World Series. The Seminoles swept UConn in the NCAA Super Regionals, marking their first appearance at the College World Series since 2019.
In Game 1, FSU had a record-breaking performance, hitting five home runs en route to their dominating win. In Game 2, they hit six home runs, including three by ACC Player of the Year James Tibbs III, to secure a hard-fought 10-8 victory in 12 innings. Other Super Regional matchups include Tennessee vs Evansville, Virginia vs Kansas State, North Carolina vs West Virginia, Kentucky vs Oregon State, Georgia vs NC State, Clemson vs Florida, and Texas A&M vs Oregon. The winners of these matchups will advance to the College World Series in Omaha.
