Flatwoods Fire Leaves Home and Business Destroyed, Community Thankful for First Responders’ Quick Response

Neighboring properties suffer damage following fire at local business

On Tuesday, a fire broke out in Flatwoods, Ky., causing destruction to parts of Tri-State Enterprise and Lawn Care near Argillite Road. Jake Styes, a local resident, expressed relief that his family and neighbors were unharmed in the incident. He was at school when the fire started and could only see the smoke from a distance.

When he returned home, Styes felt a mix of fear and relief upon seeing the aftermath of the fire. He thanked first responders for their quick actions in preventing further damage and ensuring everyone’s safety. The Flatwoods Fire Chief stated that investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, but it is believed to be accidental.

Styes expressed gratitude to the firefighters who helped save his home and his neighbors’ homes. The community is thankful that everyone made it out safely and that the situation was brought under control swiftly. Despite the destruction caused by the fire, Styles is grateful that no one was injured in the incident.
