First-of-its-kind Cannabis Sales at Portland Pickles’ Baseball Stadium

The Portland Pickles have set a new standard in the sports industry by becoming the first team in the United States to legally sell cannabis-based products at live sports events. The baseball team has partnered exclusively with Cycling Frog to sell THC-based seltzer drinks at Walker Stadium. These drinks, which will be available on June 18th, are the first of their kind to be sold at a sporting event.

The THC-based seltzer drinks from Cycling Frog contain 2 MG of THC and 4MG of CBG per can and will be offered in passionfruit and lemon flavors. Ross Campbell, VP of Business Development for the Pickles, spoke about this innovative partnership, stating “As we saw in 2019, becoming the first team to ever partner with a CBD company, and quickly teams all the way up to the Major League level across sports follow suit.”

To purchase these drinks, fans must be at least 21 years of age as each serving contains 2 MG of hemp-derived THC. The Pickles have ensured that they are following all regulations by consulting with the OLCC and Portland Parks and Recreation, which owns the stadium. This new partnership signals a unique and forward-thinking approach by the Portland Pickles in the sports industry.
