Fire Causes Severe Damage to Lee’s Summit Business

A fire has caused significant damage to a manufacturing business in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The blaze occurred in the paint room at Newco Manufacturing around 11 a.m., with emergency crews alerted to the scene. The business is located just west of Southwest Scherer Road and MO-291 Highway.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke emanating from the building as the occupants were in the process of evacuating. The fire resulted in the roof of the structure partially collapsing, with additional damage reported inside the building. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire and minimize further damage.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities. In other news, it has been announced that popular eastern Jackson County farmers market owners have decided to close their business.
