In a court-authorized law enforcement operation, FBI agents conducted a raid on Monday morning at Angel Bright Home Health in Corpus Christi, Tx near Holly Road and Kostoryz Road. They are working with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Medicare Fraud Control Unit (MFCU), which is the criminal investigation arm of the Texas Office of the Attorney General. MFCU investigates and prosecutes Medicaid provider fraud, as well as abuse or neglect of residents in healthcare facilities.
Law enforcement agencies will be at Angel Bright for several hours collecting evidence as part of an ongoing investigation. According to FBI-Houston Public Affairs Officer Connor Hagan, there are no threats to public safety at this time. Hagan stated that it is a court-authorized law enforcement operation, and no further details have been released.
