Falcons and Vikings: Who has the Strongest New QB-WR Duos in 2024 NFL Season?

What rank does CBS Sports give to the Falcons’ new QB-WR duo?

The Atlanta Falcons made a significant investment in the quarterback position during the 2024 offseason, acquiring Kirk Cousins in free agency after a season of uncertainty with Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke. This move was considered a major win for the team, as quarterback stability is crucial in the NFL.

However, the Falcons were not the only team to make changes at quarterback during the offseason. The Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers also made moves to acquire new quarterbacks. Additionally, teams like the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans added new No. 1 wide receivers to their rosters.

CBS Sports’ Jordan Dajani recently ranked the top 12 new quarterback-wide receiver duos going into the 2024 season. Cousins and Drake London of the Falcons came in at No. 3 on the list, behind Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Cardinals, and C.J. Stroud and Stefon Diggs of the Texans.

Dajani expects London to have a successful season with Cousins at quarterback, surpassing 1,000 yards with 85 receptions and eight touchdowns. However, it remains to be seen how targets will be divided between London and tight end Kyle Pitts, who is also a key player on the Falcons’ offense.

Pitts has yet to reach his full potential but having an established quarterback like Cousins could help unlock his talents
