The mediation procedure involving Jannie Haek, CEO of the National Lottery, has been unsuccessful. Union delegations at the National Lottery raised concerns about both difficult social consultations at the government company and Haek’s behavior. During the mediation, Haek apologized for using “unacceptable verbal abuse” against staff and engaging in “excessive alcohol consumption.” However, union representatives cited a lack of trust and confidence in Haek due to an incident where his behavior was perceived as disrespectful towards them. Despite efforts to work positively on the situation, they expressed disappointment with the outcome of the mediation process. As a result, they have left the decision to the board of directors on how to proceed with this challenging situation.
