Exploring the Intersection of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math: A Community-Wide Event on Earth’s Planet

This Weekend, State Street Hosts Science Event

The Christa McAuliffe Center at Framingham State University is hosting its annual science festival, Science on State Street, in collaboration with the MetroWest STEM Education Network. This community-wide event is focused on themes related to planet Earth and explores how science, technology, engineering, and math contribute to environmental justice, renewable energy, and sustainability.

The event is open to all residents of any age and will take place on Saturday, April 27 from Noon to 3 p.m. at the McAuliffe Center and O’Connor Hall parking lot. Visitors can expect interactive exhibits and demonstrations from various organizations such as MIT Lincoln Labs, Boston Scientific, MathWorks, and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center.

MIT Lincoln Labs will have a table where attendees can build their own lightsabers while Boston Scientific will provide an interactive exhibition on the human body. MathWorks will demonstrate the power of AI and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center will showcase how STEM professionals protect our nation’s soldiers. There will be many other exhibitors as well.
