The Pinelands Science Forum is being hosted by the Pinelands Preservation Alliance on June 13 to explore the relationship between forests, forestry practices, and climate change. The forum will feature speakers from various regulatory agencies, academia, and nonprofits who will share their research on the benefits of tree planting and the impact of forestry practices on carbon absorption.

The day-long forum will be held at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance’s renovated barn at 17 Pemberton Rd. in Southampton. The barn is handicap-accessible, with an elevator to the second floor. Attendees will receive a light breakfast and lunch, as well as a short tour of PPA’s Rancocas Creek Farm. Presentations will be recorded and shared publicly for those who are unable to attend.

Registration for the event is open until June 3, with an early bird fee of $35 per person available until May 15. After May 15, the cost to attend is $45. To register for the event, visit the Pinelands Preservation Alliance website at pinelandsalliance.org.
