Exploring the Depths of Earth: A Hands-on Camp for Kids at MODS

Exploring the Depths at Camp STEAMology: Into the Earth! hosted by the Museum of Discovery and Science

Children of all ages are invited to explore the mysteries of the Earth through MODS’ Camp STEAMology: Into the Earth. This camp, designed for kids aged 5-10, is just beginning and promises to be a fun-filled day of discovery. Campers will dig into the soil and learn how to grow plants by creating different soil types to help them thrive. They will also discover the layers beneath the Earth, such as soil, limestone, and clay, and gain a deeper understanding of our planet’s geological makeup.

MODS is an award-winning attraction with over 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, science shows, learning labs, and more. The museum’s Grand Atrium features the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture and the largest clock in Florida. Children can also experience interactive underwater exploration on the Nautilus submarine with Captain Nemo in the Voyage to the Deep exhibit.

Camp STEAMology costs $60 for members and $70 for non-members for a one-day camp. Aftercare is available for $15 per child, and there is a multi-child discount available using the code “10off” at check out. Registration is required at mods.org/campdiscovery.
