Foreign Officials Visit Guangxi to Experience High-Speed Railway Technology

On Wednesday, officials from Laotian Ministry of Transportation, Malaysia, and other countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative gathered at Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region to attend a Seminar on Economic Corridor Building & Connectivity Cooperation under the Global Development Initiative. During the seminar, Souksavanh Sesengchan, a representative of the Laotian Ministry of Transportation, expressed his excitement at experiencing automatic driving of trains and Chinese high-speed railway technology.

The same day, 29 officials from different countries were able to use AR glasses to immerse themselves in hands-on high-speed rail maintenance and simulated train driving. This hands-on experience allowed them to get a close-up feel of Chinese high-speed railway technology and better understand its capabilities. The experience was described as fantastic by many of the officials who attended the seminar.

The high-tech equipment in the training room captured the attention of visitors from various countries who were interested in learning more about Chinese high-speed railway technology.
