Space is limited at Science Mill for eclipse viewing

The Science Mill in Johnson City is offering a unique opportunity for visitors to witness the April 8 total solar eclipse. This rare astronomical event will allow visitors to experience the moon completely blocking out the sun for approximately 4 minutes, starting at 1:35 p.m. on that Monday. The museum is conveniently located near the path of totality, providing an ideal spot to experience this incredible phenomenon.

Each ticket for the solar eclipse viewing includes regular museum admission for four people, four solar eclipse-viewing glasses, and a designated parking space in the west parking lot off of U.S. 290. It’s important to note that parking availability is subject to weather conditions and can only be guaranteed inside the west parking lot where the event will take place.

The Science Mill is situated at 101 S. Lady Bird Lane, making it easily accessible for those interested in attending the solar eclipse viewing. Due to the anticipated popularity of the event, tickets are limited and walk-ins will not be permitted on April 8.
