In his quest for a fresh start, midfielder Ethan Robson has joined Carlisle United on a two-year contract. The 27-year-old previously played for MK Dons before deciding to make the switch to Carlisle. Prior to that, he came through Sunderland’s academy and spent time at Blackpool before joining the Dons.
Robson made 60 appearances for MK Dons before leaving, and manager Paul Simpson is excited about having him on board. “Ethan brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our squad,” said Simpson. “His left-footed abilities will give us an attacking threat in League Two next season.”
Simpson highlighted Robson’s ability to find key passes on the field, which will be crucial in helping the team create scoring opportunities. However, the manager also emphasized the need for Robson to add more goals to his game. “Ethan has great talent with his left foot, but we need him to take more shots on goal and put pressure on opposition goalkeepers,” he said.
Carlisle United faced relegation last season after finishing bottom of the table in League One. With the addition of Robson to the squad, they hope to bounce back and have a strong impact in the upcoming season.
