The KPAX Sports Awards have come to an end, with the winners from this year’s class being announced on their final day. Throughout the awards process, we had the privilege of hearing from and learning about the 10 nominees from five high schools in Missoula. We are grateful to these student-athletes for taking the time to share their stories with us, not just for the awards, but also throughout their athletic careers.
The quality of this year’s finalists was exceptional, and we are thrilled to reveal that Hellgate’s Alix Mund and Sentinel’s Grady Walker are the winners. Both Mund and Walker will receive $1,000 scholarships from the Honors Court as part of their awards. Mund will be pursuing college track and field at Boise State, while Walker will be playing college football at the University of Montana in Missoula.
Congratulations to our winners, as well as all the nominees for this year’s KPAX Sports Awards. A big shoutout to all the student-athletes in the area who are nearing the end of their high school careers. It has been an honor to witness and report on your achievements here at KPAX. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors, wherever they may take you.
