Examining Draft Day Preparations: Top 30 Visits, Rankings, and Goals

Commanders Faced with Decision at Quarterback in 2024 NFL Mock Draft; Cardinals Strengthen Defense

As the NFL Draft approaches, teams are conducting top-30 visits with draft hopefuls and performing medical rechecks on players who were flagged at the combine. These visits provide an opportunity for teams to get a closer look at prospects and determine if they fit with the team’s goals and needs.

Final preparations are underway as teams work on building their respective draft boards. These boards feature around 150 players, ranked based on where the team would feel comfortable selecting them. Factors such as work ethic, medical evaluations, athleticism, production, personality, and other qualities are taken into consideration when ranking players.

Each team’s positional needs and goals for the first round of the draft are closely examined. Teams without a first-round pick are also being analyzed, with potential draft selections being identified.
