Ex-Swansea Manager Steve Cooper appointed as new Leicester City manager

Ex-Swans Manager Lands Job at Leicester City

The former manager of Swansea City, Steve Cooper, has been appointed as the new manager of Leicester City. Cooper is a 44 year old experienced coach who has been without a job since his departure from Nottingham Forest in December. He first joined Swansea in 2019 as head coach and led the team to the Championship play-offs for two consecutive seasons before leaving in 2021.

After leaving Swansea, Cooper took over at Nottingham Forest and guided them to promotion to the Premier League in an impressive manner. However, he has now decided to take on a new challenge at Leicester’s King Power Stadium, where he will replace Enzo Maresca. This appointment comes after heavy speculation linking the Foxes with his predecessor at Swansea, Graham Potter earlier in the week.

Cooper’s return to management in the Premier League marks a significant moment in his career as he looks to continue his success and make an impact at Leicester City. His experience and track record of success in the Championship will be key assets as he takes on the challenge of leading the Foxes in the top flight.
