European Parliament Member Ilaria Salis Clarsifies Her Involvement in Housing Movement Amidst Allegations of Occupancy Debt

I assert my involvement in the housing movement, Salis

As a journalist, I can confirm that I have been an active member of the housing movement for several years. My involvement in this movement has been centered on the fight for the right to live, particularly in Milan and throughout Italy. If anyone had thought of making some kind of scoop by digging into my past, it was only because it was far from the social reality of this movement.

Ilaria Salis, who was recently elected to the European Parliament with Avs, took to social networks to clarify her situation regarding a credit issue with Aler. According to Salis, Aler is claiming a credit of 90,000 euros from her as an ‘indemnity’ for the alleged occupation of a house in via Giosue’ Borsi in Milan. Salis emphasizes that she was found inside the house in 2008 and that Aler’s focus on criminalizing the movement rather than providing adequate solutions is not only misguided but also harmful.

Salis highlights the importance of addressing the housing issue in Milan and Italy and expresses gratitude for the attention brought to this topic. She states clearly that no more people should be left without homes, and no more homes should be left without people. Despite any challenges or obstacles she may face, Salis remains committed to her involvement in the housing movement and will continue to support it moving forward.
