Equipping the Future: The Panola County Chamber of Commerce Hosts Spring Youth Sports Closet Event

Youth Sports Equipment Drive Hosted by Panola County Chamber of Commerce

The Spring Youth Sports Closet event is being hosted by the Panola County Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of providing equipment and uniforms to youth who may not be able to afford them. This initiative has been supported by several groups in Panola County, who have joined forces to ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate in sports they love.

Keri Perot Vance, the executive director of the Panola County Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the importance of providing support to local youth so that they can develop their talents and stay in the community. The Carthage Service League, a thrift shop located near the Chamber of Commerce, has been a key contributor to this initiative by donating items to meet the equipment needs of children in the community.

The Spring Youth Sports Closet event will conclude on May 24th and donations are accepted year-round. Interested parties can contact the Panola County Chamber of Commerce in Carthage for more information on how to donate or pick up youth baseball or softball equipment. The goal is to ensure that all children have access to the equipment they need to participate in sports and stay active in their community.
