Former England Captain Advocates for One Change in India’s T20 World Cup Squad, “Even If He…”

During an interview on Sky Sports, former England cricket team captain Eoin Morgan expressed his preference for Shubman Gill over Yashasvi Jaiswal in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Despite both players having decent performances in the IPL 2024, with Gill scoring 426 runs and Jaiswal scoring 435 runs, the selectors chose to go with Jaiswal. Morgan stated that he would have chosen Gill because he views him as a future leader who excels in big moments.

Rinku Singh, who was excluded from the India squad despite having a good performance, shared his feelings about being left out. Although disappointed, Singh accepted the decision based on team combination and acknowledged that it is important not to dwell on things beyond one’s control. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent India and received words of encouragement from Rohit Sharma, who advised him to keep working hard and look forward to the next World Cup in two years.
