Cleveland Clinic Launches New Women’s Comprehensive Health and Research Center

Cleveland Clinic has announced the launch of a new Women’s Comprehensive Health and Research Center to provide specialized care for middle-aged and older women. The center’s focus will be on access, connectivity, education, research, and innovation to empower women in managing their health journey with confidence and clarity. With over 63 million women in the U.S. who are 50 years old or older, and approximately 6,000 women starting menopause daily, there is a significant need for specialized care for this demographic.

Maria Shriver will lead the center as its chief visionary and strategic advisor. She is also the founder of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement Prevention and Research Center at the Cleveland Clinic, which will now extend services to patients throughout the state. The new center will offer specialty care in areas such as behavioral health, breast health, cardiovascular care, infant and maternal health, menopause, osteoporosis, weight management, wellness, disease prevention, and healthy aging.

The center will provide online resources and support groups to address health disparities, reach diverse communities
