Now you can get your hands on ‘The Little Recovery Book’

In an effort to address the pressing health issue of alcohol and substance misuse in Eau Claire County, the Eau Claire Health Alliance has recently released “The Little Recovery Book”. This initiative aims to provide assistance to individuals struggling with these issues, and contribute to building a more resilient community.

The book, which was launched on June 13th, is now available both in print throughout the Eau Claire community and online. It contains valuable information on various resources such as harm reduction strategies and peer-run respites. Additionally, the book provides easy-to-find contact details, including phone numbers and websites, for individuals in crisis seeking assistance.

According to Renee Sommer, Director of At The Roots LLC within the Health Alliance, people often face challenges when trying to access treatment for substance misuse. She emphasized the importance of providing clear pathways to recovery through education and resources. By educating the community on available resources through “The Little Recovery Book”, the goal is to empower individuals to take the first step towards seeking help.

Since its release, the Health Alliance is hopeful that “The Little Recovery Book” will make a positive impact by connecting individuals in need with the support they require to combat substance misuse. The book can be downloaded from the Eau Claire Health Alliance website for those seeking assistance.
