Almost 4,000 people attend the HIA-LI trade show

Nearly 4,000 members of the business community gathered at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood for the HIA-LI Business Trade Show. Over 250 exhibitors participated in this annual business-to-business event, which attracts professionals from various industries including technology, energy, manufacturing, finance, hospitality, healthcare, media, education, government, and workforce development.

The trade show provided an excellent platform for businesses to make connections and explore new opportunities. According to HIA-LI, 78% of attendees were upper management decision-makers. President and CEO Terri Alessi-Miceli emphasized the positive impact the event has on local businesses. She stated that the goal is to help professionals create meaningful connections and discover potential ventures while also serving as a platform for economic development discussions on Long Island.

The trade show featured an executive luncheon and several breakout sessions. Two Sands New York procurement workshops aimed at connecting local businesses with Sands staff to explore new business prospects and encourage community engagement were held. Other sessions covered topics like retail transformation, expanding networks, and direct response marketing strategies.

Speed networking sessions were held to facilitate quick introductions between participants and enable them to meet a wide range of business professionals in a short amount of time. The event provided a valuable platform for professionals to connect, learn, and explore new business opportunities, reflecting the vibrant business community on Long Island.
