Madhu Arora has been appointed as Member, Technology/Digital Communication Commission, formerly known as the Telecom Commission, in the Indian Department of Telecom (DOT) effective April 1, 2024. Arora, a seasoned professional with over 36 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

Prior to her current appointment, Arora served as Advisor, Licensing in the DOT and CGM, Telecom West Bengal from September 2021 to January 2024. She is an alumna of the 1986 batch of Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS), where she graduated at the top of her class. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Delhi College of Engineering, an MBA from the University of Queensland, and an LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University.

Recognized for her contributions to the telecommunications sector, Arora played a crucial role in restructuring Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) during her tenure as nodal Principal GM. She is known for her dynamic leadership style that emphasizes empathy and focus.
