Highlights of Headspace App Access for UNC Health Employees on TarHeal Wellness Podcast

The popular wellness app, Headspace, is now accessible to UNC Health employees through a partnership highlighted on the TarHeal Wellness podcast. This two-part episode explores the resources available to employees through this collaboration and delves into the benefits of evidence-based meditation and mindfulness tools, mental health coaching, therapy, psychiatry, and family support.

The TarHeal Wellness podcast is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of UNC Health medical trainees and can be found on all major podcast platforms. Hosted by Dr. Robert Rowe, MD, MBA, MPH, the podcast features interviews with Headspace representatives to discuss the partnership’s benefits and resources available to employees.

In part one of the episode, Dr. Rowe speaks with Rachel Schenkemeyer, a Strategic Client Account Executive with Headspace. They discuss what Headspace is, how it works in partnership with UNC Health, what support is provided for employees using the app and why it’s beneficial for healthcare providers. They also provide tips on how to use the app effectively and get started with it.
