Announcement of 30 new games for two consoles with a sense of achievement

During the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, Microsoft showcased the promising future of the video game industry despite recent studio closures and layoffs. The event took place at the iconic theater of the Academy Museum in Hollywood and featured participation from top studios like Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard, and Xbox Game Studios.

The showcase featured trailers for beloved series like Gears of War: E-Day and Doom: The Dark Ages, as well as new looks at titles like State of Decay 3, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Perfect Dark, and South of Midnight. Exciting updates were also announced for games like World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, The Elder Scrolls Online, Starfield, and Fallout 76.

Microsoft reiterated the importance of Xbox Game Pass in its business model during the showcase, with most of the announcements set to be available on the service from launch day. Additionally, three new Xbox Series X|S console options were announced, giving players more ways to join the world of gaming. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was also confirmed to feature a campaign mode set in the early 1990s and introducing new gameplay features like Omnimovement and returning favorites like “Prestige” and Zombies mode.
