Indra’s arrival is particularly significant as she will join two other elephant cows, Saida and Jenny, at the zoo. Although Indra will not be bred due to two unsuccessful attempts, her move is for her welfare as she will be reunited with her mother, Saida.

In the meantime, the pachyderm house at the zoo remains closed as Indra and her new companions adjust to their new living arrangements.
