Eighth Powerful Air Attack on Ukrainian Energy System Facilities Causes Tragic Loss of Life: Officials Vow to Strengthen Security Measures

At night, Ukrainian energy facilities were attacked by Russians

On the night of June 22, Russia launched a series of attacks on energy system facilities across Ukraine. The attacks occurred in the western, eastern, and southern regions of the country, causing significant damage to several institutions. According to “Ukrainergo,” two people were injured in the Lviv and Zaporizhia regions as a result of these attacks. This marked the eighth powerful air attack within the last three months.

In Zaporizhia, Ivan Fyodorov, the head of the administration, confirmed that a fire broke out in an energy facility as a result of the Russian strike. Sadly, this led to the death of two employees. In Lviv, Maksim Koshitsky, the head of the administration, also reported an attack on energy system facilities. However, he noted that the fire had been extinguished and there were no casualties.

The Ivano-Frankivsk region was also targeted in these attacks. A fire broke out in a building of an educational institution in this region. Despite these incidents, officials emphasized that they are taking steps to ensure heightened vigilance and protection of critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
