Egypt: Strengthening Food Security
Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, has announced that the Ministry is taking proactive measures to secure essential commodities and establish a strategic reserve. In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, efforts to enhance the strategic reserve were discussed, with Al-Moselhi highlighting the Ministry’s successful wheat supply operations and its stockpile of oil.
The government’s initiatives aim to stabilize prices and ensure food security for its citizens. By securing key commodities like sugar, wheat, and oil, the government is taking important steps to mitigate the impact of any potential disruptions in the market.
