The average price of a sandwich in these service areas is around 7 euros, compared to 4.20 in a normal bar, which means spending about 70% more on the motorway. Breakfast items like cappuccino, brioche, and coffee also cost more at service areas, with the average price being higher than in regular establishments.

When it comes to drinks, bottled water can cost over 3 euros per liter on the motorway, compared to 0.67 per liter in a supermarket. Carbonated drinks can cost up to 8 euros per liter. Packaged ice cream has an average expense of 3 euros, while salty snacks like crisps have an average price of 3.13 euros. Chocolate bars can range from 1.20 to 6.29 euros on the motorway. Overall, the prices for food and drinks are significantly higher at service areas along the motorway network.
