Eastwood and Hanks Shine in High School Softball and Baseball Action on April 22nd

In high school softball action on Monday, April 22, Eastwood and Socorro faced off in a game that saw Eastwood emerge victorious with a score of 3-1. Miranda Guillen pitched a complete game and also hit a solo home run, while Gaby DeAnda contributed a 2-run RBI double. The victory secured Eastwood the 2nd seed for the upcoming playoffs in District 1-6A.

Meanwhile, in District 2-5A baseball action, Hanks earned the 2nd seed by defeating Bel Air with a final score of 10-0. In another game, Ysleta edged out Bel Air with a final score of 5-4, with Derek Licon picking up the win on the mound. Angel Flores, Moré Lozano, and Jacob Lopez led the offense with key hits and RBIs.

In addition to these games, Horizon had a dominant performance in District 1-6A baseball action by beating Hanks with a final score of 10-2. Franklin Miller pitched six scoreless innings with eleven strikeouts, while several players contributed to the offensive output.
