Early Birds: Chargers, Falcons, and Commanders Kick Off NFL Offseason Workout Program on Tuesday

Falcons, Chargers, Commanders kick off offseason programs starting Tuesday

Jim Harbaugh is returning to the NFL on Tuesday as the Chargers, Falcons, and Commanders kick off their offseason workout programs. These three teams are the only ones starting on the earliest possible date this year. Other teams such as the Panthers, Patriots, Seahawks, and Titans will begin their programs on April 8th. The rest of the teams will start on April 15th.

The offseason program consists of three phases, with Organized Team Activities and a mandatory minicamp being the final phase. Some teams may choose to shorten their sessions, with everything except the mandatory minicamp being voluntary. Players may have workout bonuses that incentivize them to attend. While attacking the day with enthusiasm unknown to mankind remains an option, it is not mandatory for players.
