Eagles Sign Wide Receiver John Ross for Competitive Spot in Offense

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver John Ross to their 90-man roster, following his successful tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp earlier this month. Ross last played in a regular season game with the Giants in 2021 and had expressed his desire to return to the field later last year.

Originally drafted as the ninth overall pick by the Bengals in 2017, Ross appeared in 27 games for the team over four seasons. During that time, he recorded 51 catches for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns. He then had a brief stint with the Giants, making 11 catches for 224 yards and a touchdown. With DeVante Parker’s retirement, Ross will be taking on the roster spot left behind and will be competing for a position behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith in the Eagles’ receiving corps.

Ross is excited about this new opportunity with the Eagles and is looking forward to showcasing his talents once again on the field. His speed and playmaking ability could prove valuable assets to the team as they compete in the NFC East. With a fresh start in Philadelphia, Ross is determined to make an impact and potentially earn a significant role in the Eagles’ offense this upcoming season.
